We wanted to have a new kitchen for a number of years, but the idea of putting it all together: planning, researching, the "mess" etc. always stopped us from pursuing it.  When a friend told me about Amit and I talked to him on the phone I immediately felt at ease. Especially after meeting with him and going over my ideas (he is a fabulous listener); it seemed that no problem was insurmountable.  He did all the research, presented us with a wide variety of choices for cabinets; I loved getting his written notes on all the possibilities - he gave us places and names to go for granite countertops and tile flooring - offered to come with us to choose the materials - in short it really was a joy and so easy to work with him.

Since we did some major work and removed a wall he had to reconfigure the air-conditioning and heating vents, a ceiling was lowered and all lighting changed - Amit did all of this effortlessly; always first suggesting it to us, giving us drawings etc., listening to our input and jointly deciding what would work best.

I especially appreciated his honesty, when I ask him how any particular idea would work or how it would look, and he always give us his straightforward opinion (I loved his caveat: however - it's your house)!  His cost estimate was right in line - as well as the time frame - we kept getting written schedules on a steady basis.

Another wonderful thing Amit did was that he allowed us to use the kitchen for as long as possible. He left the sink in place until the very end and kept moving the stove around so I could still cook dinner and cleaned up every night before he left. All the horror stories I had heard about not being able to use the kitchen for 3 months or longer did not happen in our case, because of Amit's flexibility and innovation.

In short we would recommend him to anybody and will use him in the future should we need anything else done.

I hired Amit to design and build an arbor over my backyard deck.  From my first contact with Amit, I was confident I had made the right decision.  He came over, took appropriate measurements, and then showed me photos of several possible designs.  He seemed to know exactly what I had in mind, and I had to do very little explaining.  I could tell he was excited about this project.

Amit provided me with an estimate for the job and we agreed on a start-date.  He showed-up on the agreed date and within two days, the project was finished.  The arbor is beautiful, the workmanship is first class, and I am 100% pleased with the results.

I was so happy that, a few months later, I called him again – this time to replace an attic window.   I can happily recommend Amit to anyone with an upcoming renovation project.
